What Each Skin Tier Means
Transcendent. Transcendent is the highest skin tier in League of Legends, with 5 skins. They come from the Hall of Legends event, which honours a professional player, and are not sold for RP.
Exalted. Exalted skins sit just below Transcendent, with 5 skins so far. They are not sold for RP. How to get one: 0.5% drop rate from the Sanctum or opening 80 Ancient Sparks.
Ultimate. Ultimate skins cost 2,775 to 3,250 RP and are the most elaborate skins in the store, with transformations, extra forms or features no other skin has. There are only 9.
Mythic. Mythic skins are not sold for RP: most cost 100 to 200 Mythic Essence in the Mythic Shop, and the rest came from events, passes or capsules. Every Prestige skin is Mythic.
Legendary. Legendary skins cost 1,820 RP and change almost everything about the champion: model, animations, visual and sound effects, and new voice lines.
Epic. Epic skins cost 1,350 RP, the most common price in the store. They bring a new model and textures with new visual and sound effects.
Rare. Rare is a small tier of 8 skins priced at 975 RP, such as Arcane Enemy Jinx and Arcane Enforcer Caitlyn. It is not the same as the rarest skins in the game, which are old event and promotion skins.
Regular. Regular skins are the basic tier, priced from 520 to 975 RP, with new textures and sometimes a new model. Each champion's default skin is counted here too.
