What Is Wasted on LoL?
Wasted on LoL is a free tool that shows how much time you have spent playing League of Legends. Enter your Riot ID (Name#TAG) and your region, and you get your time in minutes, hours and days, plus a place on the leaderboard. There is no login and nothing to link: the tool reads public match data from Riot.
You get two numbers. Since 2023 comes from your match history. Overall estimates the time on the whole account from its summoner level. The accuracy section explains both. To see where the same account stands in ranked, try the LoL MMR checker and the LoL rank distribution.
How to Check Your Hours Played in League of Legends
To check your hours played in League of Legends, enter your Riot ID in the lookup box at the top of this page, choose your region and press Search. Your time shows up in a few seconds, or a little longer for accounts with thousands of games.
- Open the League client and copy your Riot ID: the name and tag on your profile, for example Name#5521.
- Paste it into the lookup box, with the # and the tag.
- Select the region the account plays on.
- Press Search to get your time in minutes, hours and days.
- Click any player on the leaderboard to compare your number with theirs.
Does League of Legends Show Your Total Playtime?
No. The League client has no lifetime counter of hours played, and the match history on your profile only lists recent games. Wasted on LoL counts the matches Riot keeps for your account, turns them into one number, and estimates the time before them from your summoner level.
How Accurate Is Wasted on LoL?
Since 2023 is the closer of the two: the match count is exact, and only the length of each game is an average. Overall is an estimate for the whole life of the account. Neither number includes time in queue, in champion select or in the client, so your real time on League is higher.

Overall assumes 3,264 XP per level after level 30 and a 55% win rate at 300 XP a win and 200 XP a loss. Accounts that used XP boosts reached their level in fewer games, so their Overall reads high. No result can go past the time since League of Legends launched in October 2009. If most of your games were played before 2023, treat Overall as a rough guide and Since 2023 as the number you can trust.
Wasted on LoL Not Working?
Most failed lookups come down to the Riot ID or the region.
- Use the full Riot ID with the tag, like Name#TAG. Old summoner names without a tag no longer work.
- Pick the region the account plays on. An EUW account will not be found under NA.
- If you changed your Riot ID, search for the new one.
- A new account with no matches shows zero.
- An account looked up in the last 30 minutes shows the saved result. Search again later to add newer games.
- If the search hangs, wait a minute and try again. Riot limits how many requests a tool can send.
How Much Money Have I Spent on LoL?
Wasted on LoL measures time, not money, and the League client has no spending page either. No. It counts time inside games only. Queue time, champion select and time in the client are not included, so your real time on League is higher than the number shown.
Does it count ARAM and normal games?
Yes. Since 2023 counts every match in your Riot match history: ranked, normals, ARAM, Arena and rotating modes.
How far back does it go?
Since 2023 covers the matches in your Riot match history. Time before that is estimated from your summoner level and shown as Overall.
Which regions are supported?
All of them: EUW, EUNE, NA, KR, BR, LAN, LAS, OCE, TR, RU, JP, ME and the Southeast Asia servers (PH, SG, TH, TW and VN).
Can I check a friend's playtime?
Yes. You can look up any Riot ID, and you can click any player on the leaderboard to see their numbers.
Why is my Overall time lower than before?
Overall used to grow every time an account was looked up again, so older results were too high. It now comes from your summoner level and match history, and it can't go past the time since League of Legends launched.
