LoL Mastery Chart
Every champion's mastery on any Riot ID. Type a Riot ID to see the mastery points of every champion as a bubble chart, with the total, mastery score, levels, marks and season milestones. Look up again later to see what you gained.
Type a Riot ID with its tag (for example Faker#KR1) to see the mastery points of every champion as a bubble chart or a table. The chart runs on Riot's official API and needs JavaScript; the guide below works without it.

What Is a LoL Mastery Chart?
A mastery chart draws every champion you have played as a bubble sized by its mastery points, so your champion pool shows at a glance. A one-trick has one huge bubble; a player who rotates many champions has a cloud of similar ones.
This chart reads the mastery of any Riot ID from Riot's official API. Next to the bubbles you get the total points, the mastery score, how many champions you have played, and for each champion its level, the points to the next level, its Marks of Mastery and its season milestone. A table view lists the same data and sorts it by points, level or last game.
How to Check Your Champion Mastery Points
Type your Riot ID with its tag, for example Faker#KR1, in the box at the top of this page. You don't pick a server: the chart finds the one your account plays on.
- Type Name#TAG and press Show mastery.
- Read the totals and the chart. Tap a bubble to see that champion's level, progress, marks and milestone.
- Switch to Table to sort every champion by points, level or last game, or filter by class.
- Copy the link or save the chart as an image to share it.
- Come back on another day and look up again: the chart shows the points you gained since.
In the client you find the same numbers on your profile, one champion at a time.
Champion Mastery Levels and Points Needed
A champion reaches level 10 at 75,600 mastery points, and levels have no cap. Levels 1 to 4 need points only; from level 5 each level also needs Marks of Mastery. Reaching level 10 unlocks the champion's title for good.
| Level | Points for this level | Total points | Marks of Mastery |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | First game | 0 | None |
| 2 | 1,800 | 1,800 | None |
| 3 | 4,200 | 6,000 | None |
| 4 | 6,600 | 12,600 | None |
| 5 | 9,000 | 21,600 | 1 |
| 6 | 10,000 | 31,600 | 1 |
| 7 | 11,000 | 42,600 | 1 |
| 8 | 11,000 | 53,600 | 1 |
| 9 | 11,000 | 64,600 | 1 |
| 10 | 11,000 | 75,600 | 2 |
| 11 and up | 11,000 each | +11,000 per level | 2 each |
Points keep adding up while a champion waits for its marks, so a level can be paid in points long before you have the marks for it. The chart shows that case as "Points done".
Marks of Mastery, Grades and Season Milestones
You earn Marks of Mastery by reaching season milestones, and milestones need good grades. Each champion has its own milestones every season; a grade only counts in modes that give grades, which are Summoner's Rift normal and ranked games and ARAM.
| Milestone | Grade needed | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | One game at A- or better | 1 mark |
| 2 | One game at A- or better | 1 mark |
| 3 | One game at S- or better | 2 marks |
| 4 | One game at S- or better | 2 marks and a crest highlight |
| 5 and after | Two games at S- or better | 1 mark each time |
Grades go from S+ down to D-. Milestone progress starts over with each new season, while points and levels stay. The chart shows the milestone each champion has reached this season, the grades it earned towards the next one and what the next one asks for.
How Many Mastery Points You Get per Game
Riot gives mastery points after every matchmade game, based on your performance, your team's performance, the game's length and whether you won. Normal and ranked Summoner's Rift games, ARAM and rotating modes such as Arena all count. Playing in a premade group adds a bonus: +2% with 2 players, +4% with 3, +6% with 4 and +10% with 5.
Riot does not publish an average. We measure it from players looked up on two different days: the points gained between the two lookups divided by the games played in between. This paragraph shows the median once we have 30 measurements.
The champion card on the chart uses that figure, or your own rate when you have looked up before, to estimate how many games a champion needs for its next level.
How Many Games Is 1 Million Mastery Points?
As an example, at 1,000 points per game, 1,000,000 mastery points take 1,000 games, roughly 483 hours at 29 minutes a game. Your own rate depends on your grades, your wins and how long your games last.
The 29 minutes are the average game we measured for Wasted on LoL, which counts the hours you spent on League in total.
Mastery Score vs Total Mastery Points
Your mastery score is the sum of the mastery levels of all your champions; your total mastery points add up every point you earned. The client shows the mastery score on your profile.
The two tell different stories. A wide champion pool raises the score fastest, because every champion's early levels come quickly. Total points reward time on the same champions: a one-trick can have millions of points and a modest score.
What Your Mastery Chart Says About Your Champion Pool
- One bubble far bigger than the rest: a one-trick, with most of the points on a single champion.
- A handful of large bubbles: a small, steady pool of main champions.
- Many bubbles of the same size: you play many champions about equally.
- A long list of champions never played: the free champion rotation lets you try them before you buy.
The colours mark the level bands: gold for level 10 and up, amber for 5 to 9 (marks needed), grey for 1 to 4. Filter by class to see which roles you really play.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check my mastery points in League of Legends?
Type your Riot ID with its tag (Name#TAG) at the top of this page. The chart shows the points, level and progress of every champion, read from Riot's official API.
How do I see my total mastery points?
The total is the first number in the panel at the top: the sum of the mastery points of every champion you have played.
How many points do you need for mastery 10?
75,600 mastery points in total, plus 2 Marks of Mastery for level 10 itself and 1 mark for each of the levels 5 to 9.
Is champion mastery capped?
No. Since the rework in patch 14.10 levels have no cap: each level after 10 needs 11,000 more points and 2 Marks of Mastery.
How do I get Marks of Mastery?
From season milestones: the first two need one game at A- or better, the next two one game at S- or better, and every milestone after that two games at S- or better.
Does ARAM give mastery points?
Yes. ARAM gives points and grades, so it counts for both levels and season milestones. Arena and other rotating modes give points but no grades.
How many mastery points do you get per game?
It depends on your performance, your team's, the game's length and the result. The section on points per game above shows the median we measured from players looked up twice.
What is the mastery score?
The sum of the mastery levels of all your champions. It is shown on your profile in the client.
Can I check someone else's mastery?
Yes. Champion mastery is public in League: type any Riot ID. You don't need to log in.
Can I check Wild Rift mastery here?
No. Riot's API has no Wild Rift data, so no site can read Wild Rift mastery from it.
